Is there a free software to block the URLs (sites or ads) wildcard, the entire system?
For Windows XP. Therefore, not only as a filter for Firefox, but for Opera, Internet Explorer, Safari, Chrome, etc. are not allowed wildcard list of hosts. I know there are solutions that need to use DNS to third. But I do not trust the third – all URLs that I use, is sent to a DNS server. Thus, the software ad-filter must be local. All that can make the whole locking system is a firewall based on network / router. There are many free software Linux, but you need to build the server box own safety to get what they want … Some routers have to save where you can add the blocked sites, but you should check your specific model …
