parental control on macbook
parental controls on a macbook?
Ok, several questions. First one being about parental controls on a macbook. I go to Accounts because I want to block a few sites and it says under the parental control section: “You can not turn on parental controls for an administrator user or a network account”
If I can’t do anything about that, can I just block certain sites? I use safari and firefox, so i need to know how to block on both browsers.
Last but not least (this is a stupid question, but I’m about the worst person ever on computers), where is the tools section on the Mac? I can’t find it in system preferences and looking in the spotlight section, but it wasn’t there.

ok ill number these out so I dont get confused;
1. You can’t block websites on accounts on administrator, you would have to create a new account as well as the administrator and set up parental controls for that user via the administrator user.
2.No, you will have to create a new user and use that account if you want some sites to be blocked using the mac’s parental control feature.
3. If you are meaning tools as in utilites.
You need to go to Applications –> Utilities
