Norton Family Online boring or good?
I have Norton security and adolescents. I see Norton and family security. Does anyone have and what are your comments on it. I need to know if you must be logged in to review the use of Internet and if parental control software slows down your computer at all. Please be honest
First, I want you know that I work for Norton, but that said, I too am a mother of 2 children, one of whom is 9 years old and very interested in the Internet. Also I have many friends OnlineFamily.Norton because it harassed and told me how important it is to be involved in the experiences of their children online. And since the product is free, have no excuse not to try it! To answer your first question, since the product is a web-based service, virtually no "hits" on your computer's performance. Only a very small client (called Minder security) is on your computer to your child to follow activity. Never heard a friend mention a little slow. To answer your second question, yes, to bring your account, please sign in to your account through Site. You can do it from any computer with Internet connection. This is one of the main features of the product. You may be at work, come and see what their children are in place or receive calls for through the service, if they ask permission to overcome the limitations of time, or go to a site that was blocked by you. PC Magazine OnlineFamily.Norton recently awarded "Best Technology of the Year 2009" designation and, if the comments were very favorable.
